With the company by Ms Li Shuyan (The JSU officer in charge of international cooperation), International Director of Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences, Prof. Rob Sturman and the Senior International Marketing Manager ,Ms Julia Wang from University of Leeds visited FBE on May. 17, 2016. The visiting was to make an on-the-spot investigation and survey. Prof. Ma Haile (Dean of FBE), Prof. Huang Xingyi (vice Dean of FBE), as well as some staff members and students attended the meeting with visiting guests at the FBE building, The meeting was hosted by Prof. Ma Haile. He gave an introduction on FBE history, discipline development, undergraduate programs, research focuses, and international cooperation.

Prof. Rob Sturman presented his appreciation for the warm support by FBE. To further understand the idea of teaching and research in FBE, Prof. Rob Sturman and Ms. Julia discussed with staff members on teaching facilities, undergraduate curriculums, and experimental conditions, etc. In the meeting, the plans of deep collaboration in near future were highly accepted by both sides. The labs showing for visitors were held after the meeting.
