Mrs. Solange Mpana, the spouse of the Cameroon Ambassador in China and Mrs. Ngoy Ngalula Justine representing the Democratic Republic of Congo National Investment Promotion Agency, visited School of Food and Biological Engineering (FBE).

The purpose of their visit was to ascertain the ability of Jiangsu University to ensure a capability of training overseas student. At the School of Food and Biological Engineering, the visitors met with Prof. Wang Zhenbin, a Doctoral Supervisor. They were accompanied by Dr, Cui Yong, vice-dean of Overseas Education College. After exchanging felicitations, Prof. Wang brief the team on the various area of research and advanced equipment of FBE. Prof. Wang introduced the various programs that are offered at FBE and indicated the possibility to register overseas student and collaborate with their home universities.

He suggested to the spouse of the Cameroon Ambassador in China and Mrs Ngoy Ngalula Justine representing the Democratic Republic of Congo to encourage their national to come and offer their postgraduate studies with the FBE. The spouse of the Cameroon Ambassador responded by thanking the staff and Dean of FBE for the support they have given to Dr. William Tchabo a Cameroonian student which has enabled him to complete his PhD studies at Jiangsu University as scheduled. They enquired about the possibility of bringing students from Cameroon and Democratic Republic of Congo to offer first degree in Food Science. Prof. Wang responded in the affirmative, indicating that, at least, some students are required to start the program.

The meeting ended with both sides assuring each other of continuing with this collaboration to their mutual benefit.
