Prof. Zhen-Yu Chen from Chinese University of Hongkong visited Jiangsu University

On Oct. 10, Dr. Zhen-Yu Chen from Chinese University of Hongkong visited Jiangsu University. During the invitation, Prof. Chen made two lectures entitled “How to publish your research in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry?” and “Do we no longer need to worry about dietary cholesterol?” At the presentation, Zou Xiaobo, Dean of School of Food and Biological Engineering, made a brief introduction of Dr. Zhen-Yu Chen Curriculum Vitae and major academic achievements. About 200 Sino-foreign faculty members and students of the school attended the presentation.




Dr. Zhen-Yu Chen is a chair professor in Chinese University of Hongkong (CUHK), phd supervisor, Head of the Graduate Division, School of Life Sciences, CUHK. He is an associate editor of Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry (JAFC), ACS Fellow and also editorial member of Journal of Functional Foods, Food & Function etc. His research filed involved in Food Chemistry and Nutrition, Fat and cholesterol metabolism and heart diseases, mainly focusing on Cholesterol-lowering functional foods, Natural antioxidants, free radicals and ageing, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, Lipid oxidation in foods. He has published more 240 journal papers. And his research outputs are as follows: total citation counts more than 13500, H-index 63 (google scholar), 16 Book or Book Chapters, 110 conference abstracts, 95 invited presentations.
